I have spent my career working with diverse groups and demographics of people who are going through the most difficult times in their lives when they feel alone and have nowhere else to turn. Through my experience of counseling my clients back to optimal mental health, I have found my passion in working with the adolescent population. Today’s young adults are forging a path to their future in a confusing and complicated time, trying to make difficult decisions that have long-term consequences.
I also thoroughly enjoy working with families and couples and couples experiencing tremendous stress in their day to day lives balancing the requirements of their jobs and needs of their relationships. There is a lot of pressure and expectation to be the “super parent” and “do it all” in order for things to run smoothly. This can be an exhausting task and very emotionally draining, which takes its toll on your valuable interpersonal relationships. By working with couples and families, I help renegotiate boundaries, roles, encourage honest and open communication between family members, and facilitate growth and positive interactions.
My clients choose me as their therapist because I am compassionate, understanding, and I can personally relate to the difficulties that today’s young women face in their schooling and work environments, in their family lives, their friendships and romantic relationships.
